One can use it without Arabic keyboard, but one must know how to read Arabic. Born in the Holy Land, with the privilege having Arabic as mother tongue, plus Hebrew, English, and Turkish languages, but with a strange study syllabus of four years secondary school during which Quranic and Islamic (History) lessons were replaced by Hebrew literature and TORA- Bible.
First year in the secondary I studied in Roman Orthodox internal school in Nazareth, where after all restrictions, We were able, and been encouraged to at least- read from an Arabic text book and loudly during our lunch/dinner in front of the dining priests, teaching staff and pupils and to be corrected for any mistakes, and in the following three years secondary school to be taught Arabic by a proud and patriotic Christian teacher who fluently mastered knowledge from Quran verses, and the strength and beauty of verses that led two of the students to divert their study from Scientific branch and to become Arabic teachers and Muslim preacher, but it took me until after retirement to follow suit having slowly stocked my shelves with Islamic books.
