In his book, Imam Al-Baghawi Al-Shafi’i collected hadiths that he narrated with his chain of transmission and then explained who among the authors of the Sunnah books narrated them.
 The two Sahihs and others. He reminded him that no hadiths were deposited in it except what the imams of the ancestors relied on from the people of the profession, and he left out what they turned away from, such as the inverted, the fabricated, the unknown, and what they agreed to leave behind. 
He stated that most of it was followed, except for the few that came across to him with some kind of evidence in interpreting a possible statement, clarifying a problem, or preferring one statement over another.
 He opened it with the hadith, “Actions are based on intentions,” and the book “Faith, then knowledge, then purity,” and so on, arranging the hadiths according to their topics.
